On October 21st, we officially announced our new office location by hosting a ribbon cutting ceremony partnered with the Laguna Niguel Chamber of Commerce. We had a great turn out enjoying lunch, giveaways, and a raffle with friends from the Chamber as well as neighbors from our business complex. Thanks to everyone who came!

Although we loved our previous home off Crown Valley and Forbes Road, the business grew too large for the 900 square foot office that even MapQuest had trouble finding. In November 2009, we moved into our new office adding three additional desks and a storefront showroom for customers to visit. The new location allows customers to walk in and buy remotes and parts, ask questions, or just see what it is that we do!

Entry Systems supports Susan G. Komen at the Race for the Cure!

On September 25, my parents, the owners of Entry Systems, and I participated in the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure in Newport Beach. Together we raised $1,000 and as a team we raised over $10,000 collectively to pay for breast cancer research and mammograms for women in the Orange County area.

In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Entry Systems decided to donate a portion of each service call during the month of October to the Susan G. Komen Foundation.

The 5K provided an amazing experience to be among the thousands of people that contributed in the nationwide fundraising of over 3 million dollars and Entry Systems hopes to create its own team for next year's event!

Garage Doors Second-Most Practical Home Improvement Item in Realtors' Cost Vs. Value Report

Garage doors rank second, behind only steel entry doors, in the 2010-2011 National Association of Realtors Cost vs. Value Report. The report identifies which products homeowners get the most "return," or value and usage, for their investment.

Published in Remodeling magazine, the report calculates the homeowner value of garage doors at 83.9 percent of their average cost of $1,291. The figure is based on survey responses from more than 3,000 homeowners who reported their home and remodeling expenditures in the past year.

Dealers and manufacturers told the source homeowners place a high value on garage doors for two main reasons: First, many garage doors (especially new models) can improve energy efficiency and decrease heating and cooling bills. Second, garage doors are often on the front of houses and visible from the street, making them important for curb appeal.

Have you too had your garage door stolen from your house?

A young couple moved into their new home in England to find out that their garage door had been stolen the day before! We at Entry Systems have yet to hear of this happening in California.... Have you?

Family move into new home - to find garage door stolen

10:00am Thursday 19th November 2009


A FAMILY moved into their new house to find thieves had stolen the garage door.

Raiders took the 50 sq ft steel door the day before Rehana and Sajid Ali moved in.

The couple, both aged 27, arrived at the house in Moorside Avenue, Farnworth, with their three young children on Sunday evening to find the new metal garage door had been stolen.

Mrs Ali said: “It was a big shock because it’s not a normal thing to happen. I think someone has taken it to use on a garage they are building because it was new.

“We have three children. It just makes you wary.

“It is not a nice thing to happen when you are moving into a new house.”

She said she believed it was a planned theft by someone who thought the property was empty.

Mrs Ali said a neighbour drove past her house at around 1am on Saturday and the door was still there.

She added: “It was definitely planned because the door and the whole frame were both taken.

“They are not going to walk off with a garage door. They must have brought a truck and tools.”

Police believe the door was taken between 1am and 11.30am on Saturday.
